OUr Program

A safe environment  in a “school like” setting for children ages 2-5 years old is the best alternative there is for working parents/guardians. It provides a small secure environment for children during the most important time of their development. Childcare offers a home away from home, providing children with “siblings” of all ages, to play, socialize, and learn. Upon entrance of public school, 85% of TLC students receive an award for excellence in Math or Reading.

My goal in providing quality child care for your child is to provide...

  • A safe environment
  • A nurturing environment
  • A learning environment. Learning is not necessarily always alphabet and numbers but is also the learning of values. The learning of honesty, respect, self-reliance, and potential, self-discipline, and moderation, the values of being dependable, love, sensitivity to others, kindness, friendliness and fairness are the values of giving.
  • And to foster unconditional love…this kind of love is very important to me because children should not grow up feeling that in order to be loved and cared for, they must meet numerous conditions.

The Learning Center at People Helping People reserves the right to participate in Christian faith-based programs with traditional Christian values practiced daily through story time using the King James translation as our basis for our prayers and conduct. We conduct ourselves with those same Christian values daily; however, we teach about other worldviews. We want our children to have a broad understanding of other cultures, religions, and nationalities, so that our children will be better equipped to face the challenges in today’s global society. We want our students to become successful compassionate citizens and have the tools needed for not only financial success but also live happy productive Godly lives as the example our Savior provided us.

provider's experience

My name is Becky Godfrey. I am the Director of the Learning Center at PHP. My educational background consists of a master’s degree in Holistic Child Development, a bachelor’s degree in Human Development with a Business Emphasis, and Associates in Early Childhood Education. I will continue my education with a Master’s in Early Childhood Education. In addition to my education, I have observed and documented countless hours in Early Childhood settings. In the summer of 2016, I had the opportunity of taking a mission trip to Ecuador to assist in the setup and coordination of an Early Childhood Center in Quito. In conjunction with the Learning Center, I work within the sphere People Helping People as the Program Coordinator for the child-based programs helping this areas youth.
